Methi

It has just come to my attention that I use the term “methi” in several recipes. Because a lot of you probably don’t know what this refers to, I’m doing a page on it. Methi is the hindi translation of fenugreek. Both the seeds and the leaves are used in Indian cuisine.

  • Dried methi refers to dried fenugreek leaves, which can be found at an Indian grocery store
  • Frozen methi refers to fenugreek leaves that have been frozen. These can also be found at an Indian foods store.
  • Fenugreek seeds are also used in some Indian recipes, although I do not use them in any of mine.
